![]() I don't use any cheap/cracked plug ins - predominantly UAD, Soundtoys & Kush audio. But in a lot of cases that isn't enough, and I have to restart the computer entirely. The only way I can get my session back on track is to save (without the offending plugin) then quit/reboot pro tools. Same robot puke sound - offensive, garbled, disturbing digital distortion. I assume I've overloaded my CPU, so remove the offending plug in, but that does little to change the playbck. I hit play and what comes out of the speakers sounds like a robot vomiting all over me. I'm working on a session (at a low sample rate - 256 - and "normal" cache), and decide to add one more plug in to the session. I'm hoping to get to the bottom an issue that has been plaguing me intermittently for the last couple of years, which I have just chosen to live with, up until now.
